The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites adults of any age to their O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Learning Seniors) program on Friday, February 12th from 10:00- 11:30 am at the Mahaska County Environmental Learning Center at Caldwell Park.  The February presentation is titled “Science of Weather” and it will be presented by MCCB’s Naturalist, Laura DeCook and William Penn University Naturalist Intern, Heaven Walker.

DeCook and Walker will speak about the science behind our weather in Iowa and explain how it is formed. Participants will also take part in some hands-on science experiments to explain how our weather changes. Following the program, you will be invited to tour the exhibits in Environmental Learning Center.
