    It’s an event of FREE FUNb for the whole family! The event will kick off with a picnic lunch after cooking hotdogs over a campfire (while supplies last). If you come for the picnic, please bring your own drink and a side dish to share. MCCB will provide the table service and hotdogs. At 1 p.m., kids 18 and younger will hike to a pond and go fishing. Trophies will be given to the largest and smallest fish caught during this event. Iowa resident fishing licenses will NOT be needed for this event or throughout this weekend .Bring your own fishing pole or borrow one from MCCB. Bait (night crawlers) will be provided. Register at the conservation center the day of the event when arriving.

Then continuing on past Rose Hill on V-13 to G-29 towards Lacey. We’ll head back to Osky going by Glenwood access and Nelson Pioneer Farm.  Click here for more information.

    The North American School of the Magical Arts (NASMA) is one of the continent’s great wizarding institutions. Campers will craft their own magical characters, design and create their own wands, and retell the history of NASMA.
     
    The George Daily Youth Theatre Summer Camp runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for K-12th grade. Free, healthy lunches are provided through the Oskaloosa Summer Lunch Program, although campers are welcome to bring their own. Registration is accepted up to, and on, the first day of camp.

    This year’s camp theme is “Where the Wild Things Are.” Campers will learn about wildlife and the nature around us through exploring and fun group activities. Activities include hiking, fishing, fossil digging, and more. Campers are asked to bring a solid-colored t-shirt to decorate for camp and also a bottle of water each day.

  • 7th annual Oskaloosa Lions Golf Shootout

    27-hole golf tournament with games benefitting the Oskaloosa Lions Club for vision and hearing projects in Mahaska County.
