Hosted by the Oskaloosa Dog Park, the 2017 Dog Splash, some off-leash fun in the pool, will be held at Edmundson Pool, 1405 South F Street, Oskalosa (in Edmundson Park). Cost: 1 dog it is $10 and for the 2nd dog it is $5. 2 dogs per handler.

On August 21, a solar eclipse will cross the continental United States. In Iowa, people will be able to experience a partial eclipse with more than 90% of the sun in the moon’s shadow. Thanks to a partnership with the Iowa Space Consortium and the Iowa 4H program, kids will learn how eclipses work, make an eclipse viewer, view the solar eclipse, and learn about sun safety. Snacks will be provided.
