    The Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group will again be sponsoring Eggs & Issues beginning January 12. This legislative forum, held the 2nd and 4th Saturdays through March, gives area residents an opportunity to learn more about state, county and local issues. The setting is informal and encourages those attending to personally meet and speak to their elected representatives. Eggs & Issues takes place at Smokey Row on the square in downtown Oskaloosa from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. MidWestOne Bank will provide complimentary coffee and George Daily Auditorium will be providing sound.     On February 9, 2019, we will present “Share the Love – An Evening for Hospice.”
    Social hour starts at 5:30 pm.

    Due to the overwhelming response last year, this year’s event will be held in the center court of Penn Central Mall to accommodate more guests. In addition to a fun evening with a delicious dinner, Dueling Pianos will be the entertainment. Auxiliary Board members are also planning to have raffle items and a silent auction.

    All proceeds from this event will benefit patients and family members at the MHP Hospice Serenity House. The Serenity House has been a home away from home, allowing family a time of togetherness while their loved one facing end-of-life is cared for by loving staff and volunteers.

    Come out to FACE’s Henna event! We will be applying henna on a first come-first serve basis in return for donations which will support the arts in our area. A Bollywood movie will be playing in the Outer Space while you wait.

    Henna is a natural reddish brown plant dye that is used to create beautiful, temporary body art. It typically lasts around 7-10 days.
